The HealthTech Innovation Days (HTID®) for the 5th time brought together 750 participants on October 24 and 25, and remotely on October 27, including researchers, public players, industry leaders, patients’ associations, patients, investors and entrepreneurs in Paris, France. French and European government institutions strongly supported the event. This was LSAA’s 3rd year as a sponsor and attendee. HTID 2023 was hosted by Health Tech for Care, an endowment fund from France Biotech, and provided a platform for European life science stakeholders to connect. In addition to hosting panels, HTID facilitated smaller meetings among attendees. The event brought together 174 European health technology companies, 15 pharmaceutical and industrial companies and over 250 international investors, featuring 60 international experts, who conducted 13 roundtable discussions, and 3 keynotes.
LSAA Chairman Rainer Westermann, and LSAA Executive Board Member and Partner at Sofinnova Cedric Moreau served as panelists on “Making the EU a more attractive playground now and for the future.” Siham Imani, EVP of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Servier, also served as a panelist in the session, while Stephanie Leouzon, Managing Director at Stiefel’s Global Healthcare Group, moderated. Additionally, LSAA Advisory Council member and Former French Minister of Industry Christian Pierret moderated the panel “How macro-economic forces are shaping European healthcare innovation.” Further Panelists included Dr. Dana Burduja: Head of Life Sciences and Health division, European Investment Bank, Bernard Spitz: Chairman and Founder, BS Conseil and Olga Solomon: Acting Director, Medical Products and Innovation, DG SANTE, European Commission.
